The first volume in the African Mythology anthology and the first of a two-part compendium on Nigeria mythology that tells the story of the obscured deities of Nigeria's four largest tribes, the Igbos, Yorubas, Hausas and Efiks and describes their main deities and a few traditional tales. The Shadow Sky describes each of the main deities of each tribe. It considers their place in the religio-cultural landscape of each tribe, with the primary aim of ensuring the stories of the deities are recaptured and shared with glorious images in a range of styles that make each character more accessible and relatable.
